About Nanmay Coffee

The ambiance presents a quiet retreat amid Taipei’s busy Wanhua District streets. Natural light filters softly through simple windows, subtly accentuating the warm wooden furniture and uncluttered layout. Conversations drift in the background, blending with the hum of espresso machines that reveal a dedication to craft. Occasionally, patrons are seen referencing Nanmay Coffee + photos on their phones, suggesting an appreciation for both aesthetic and taste. While the surroundings invite relaxation, some might find the seating a touch austere for longer visits.

A glimpse at the Nanmay Coffee + menu uncovers a concise selection, focused on carefully curated beverages alongside a modest array of pastries. The balance between strong single-origin brews and gentler blends offers something for varied palates. One particular pour-over stands out with its clean, floral notes, hinting at meticulous preparation. The flavors are complemented by prompt yet unobtrusive service, a combination often highlighted in online Nanmay Coffee + reviews that commend the staff’s knowledgeable but low-key approach. However, the limited food options could leave those seeking a more substantial meal wanting.

Experiencing this café beyond just a meal reveals an intriguing interplay between tradition and modern coffee culture. The emphasis on quality beans and precise brewing methods resonates well with enthusiasts who delve into Nanmay Coffee + restaurant discussions in local forums. Yet, the sparse decor and pared-down offerings might not appeal to everyone looking for a more vibrant or diverse café experience. Overall, the visit captures a moment of focused coffee craftsmanship, framed within a modest but thoughtfully designed environment.

Delicious breakfast with a cozy, local vibe! The food was fresh and flavorful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s clear this place is a favorite among locals.

Love the atmosphere of this old coffee shop in the Ximending area. Opened since the 1950s hard to get this kind of vibe anywhere else. I got the iced drip coffee and waffles. The coffee was strong but helped by the whipped cream. The second floor is where you wanna go with a nice view.

THE original coffee shop in greater Taipei, I've had very fond childhood memories of this place. The decor has been updated (very new and clean toilet which is quite rare for small shops in Taipei), but the same family has been running this place for over 50 years. The coffee is brewed using traditional methods rather than out of a machine; and the sandwiches are super delicious. It's a teeny bit more expensive than next door but the quality of the food, service and setting are much better value! Highly recommend.

A very old coffee shop in Ximen have many good coffees. Breakfast here is very simple, toast, eggs, waffles only.

Service was great. Very patient to explain to us the different taste of the coffee. Menu was simple but flavourful. Would have given a 5 star for food if there was more variety. Decor probably not as fancy which explains the shorter queue but you get more time to eat versus queue up. Would recommend

In the middle of a busy street you can find this adorable coffee shop. I try the breakfast egg sandwich and a latte they called milky. They have option to pay with credit card or cash nice service

Not many coffee places in this area affords a sitting area. Most of them are takeaway and standing room. Hence, the highish price point is paying for the sitting space. But, the service is great. The coffee and drinks are delicious. The syphon technique they use is unique. Importantly, the place was comfortable and quiet so that you can relax and chill down. So if you need a place to sit and chill in this area, this is probably your best choice.
